The OSSO Bone Care Adjustment Technique®️ was developed by the founder of Osso Bone Care as a way to offer a diverse range of effective bone adjustment techniques. This approach allows our Chiropractors to perform customizable treatments that cater to each patient’s specific conditions and needs. As a result, patients at OSSO Bone Care Chiropractic®️ receive personalised care rather than a standardised, one-size-fits-all treatment plan.
By utilising various adjustment methods and applying them to different areas of the body, the OSSO Bone Care Adjustment Technique®️ aims to achieve the most effective results possible. This approach enables the affected area to become unstuck, restoring nervous system integrity and promoting the healing process.
One of the key techniques used in the OSSO Bone Care Adjustment Technique®️ is the Drop Table Technique and Activator Method. This method is particularly beneficial for child patients and elderly patients that have difficulties in walking or in wheelchair, as other techniques such as Manual Adjustment Technique and Diversified Technique may not be suitable for these age groups.
The Drop Table Technique involves the use of a specialized chiropractic table with sections that can be raised and lowered. When the Chiropractor applies a quick, gentle thrust to a specific area of the spine, the corresponding section of the table drops slightly. This movement allows for a more comfortable and effective adjustment, as it reduces the amount of force needed to mobilize the joint.

Drop Table Technique is the best method for most of our patients that are suffering with Slipped Disc / Stiff Spine and those who are unable to tolerate with manual adjustment techniques especially elderly patients that has difficulties in walking or in wheelchair that need to be treated gently.
It works like this: You take the contact, you thrust, the vertebrae moves, you get done, and the patient gets up. It’s very easy on those patients that are difficult to move or are in a lot of pain.
Recognizing that some individuals, including those with severe conditions, elderly patients that have difficulties in walking or in wheelchair, young children, or those diagnosed with osteoporosis, may require a gentler approach when drop table techniques is not able to apply, we will then apply the Activator Method Technique. This method utilizes a specialized, hand-held instrument to deliver precise, gentle adjustments without the intensity of traditional manual adjustments or drop table techniques. This ensures a comfortable, effective treatment experience, even for those who may be sensitive to more forceful adjustments.
The Activator Method uses a small, hand-held instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument to deliver a gentle impulse force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint.
It is an alternative to the traditional manual form of spinal manipulation.
Activator technique utilizes a small spring-loaded adjusting instrument to deliver a focused corrective impulse into the dysfunctional spinal segment. This technique is most commonly used in patients who prefer a low-force correction without the traditional “hands-on” thrust.
The hand-held Activator instrument is specifically designed to deliver a controlled, light and fast thrust without undue strain to the patient.
When any force, such as a diversified adjustment, intrudes into the body, muscles in the involved area are automatically contracted by reflex mechanism, in order to protect that area from the intrusion. The Activator instrument produces a thrust which is quicker than the body’s reflexes can respond and tighten up the local muscles. In other words, the thrust delivered by the instrument is so quick that it accelerates ahead of the body’s tendency to tighten up and resist the thrust of an adjustment.
So, in simple terms, the force necessary to move and adjust the joint is developed by the “speed” of the instrument’s thrust, and not by a high “force”. So, although the Activator instrument produces a very effective thrust, it is felt as a very gentle sensation only.
Because of the accuracy and controlled light force, Activator Methods adjustments are suitable and comfortable for all types of patients, ranging from pregnant women, babies and children, to athletes and seniors.
The Activator Technique works well for children because it is quick and easy. Even young children who may have problems keeping still for adjustments typically have no problems with Activator adjustments. They even look forward to their next visit!
Elderly patients also benefit from the Activator Technique. The unique Activator adjustment offers gentle and effective care for elderly patients who suffer from degeneration, arthritis, and osteoporosis.
